Boy, It’s a good thing i tacked on the extra 10 dollars for unlimited bandwidth usage from my ISP – Rogers!!
I was previously told that there would be an initial surge of data while the AppleTV downloaded it’s settings and set it’s caches. I see no evidence of this, but I do see a “first few days” usage of about 17GB a day due to the “wow” factor and the “new toy” factor.
Now we’re settling down into our daily routine and watching 3 or 4 HD shows and a few SD kids shows per day. Probably looking at about 10GB nominal usage.
Right now we’re using WiFi via an Airport Express, hardwired to our Airport TimeCapsule. The dual-band is making all the difference in the world, we are quite sure. However, I’m convinced we could get a reduction in bandwidth and an increase in quality if I hardwired to our Airport Express.

NonNetFlix, from the ipad to the screen!
CTV News Toronto – Plays amazing in HD, and contains almost all the segments we like to watch (minus the tonnes of commercials)
Well, let’s play “spot the day we got an AppleTV and signed up for Netflix”.
